Programs
VFW Post 6731 and it's Ladies Auxillary is involved in or supports
many veterans based and community oriented programs.
 |
The Voice of Democracy is an annual national audio essay contest that is designed to
foster patriotism by giving high school students in grades 9 through 12 the opportunity to
voice their opinion about their personal obligations as an American and address their
responsibility to our country.
Scholarship amounts:
National: VOD - $25,000
Patriot's Pen (Youth Essay) - $10,000
Local, District and Department (State) awards are available also.

VFW Buddy Poppies are assembled by disabled, needy and aging veterans in VA Hospitals and
domiciliaries across the country and are sold at VFW Posts and their Ladies Auxiliaries.
It helps to provide financial assistance in maintaining state and national veterans'
rehabilitation and service programs and partially supports the VFW National Home for
orphans and widows of our nation's veterans.
